Crafting in the Countryside
Embrace the spirit of the festive season with an afternoon of craft and creativity with Cottage Courses at Mayflower Inn & Spa. Guided by local interior decorator and antiques dealer Ellen Hubbard, guests are invited to learn the delicate art of crafting mistletoe entirely from paper - cutting, shaping, and twining each piece with floral wire to form elegant holiday blooms. Each guest will receive a bud vase to display and take home their handmade creation. All materials are provided, and children are warmly invited to participate alongside an accompanying adult.

About Ellen Hubbard
With over 25 years of experience in interior design and more than a decade as an antiques dealer at the Millerton Antiques Center, Ellen brings a creative eye and love for handmade art to every project. She’s been making paper flowers, decoupage, and collage pieces for several years and enjoys the creative process as much as the final result.
About Cottage Courses
Cottage Courses are artist-led workshops created to share unique methods and skills within our community. Founded by Natalie Baxter and Polly Shindler, these all-level classes connect participants with artists and practitioners who bring their own creative spin to learning and making. Each course grows out of the instructor’s own practice, offering a glimpse into their ideas and work in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
