Handmade Yachting Bags at Zürner Oceanic
- Partake in an intimate, private shopping experience at local shop and studio Zürner Oceanic, exclusively for The Vanderbilt guests. With a glass of wine or bubbly in hand, select one of Zurner’s existing bags in their shop, then customize it using vintage sailcloth patches, zippers, pins, monograms and more. Jennie and John Zuerner will share stories about each piece, where it came from and what it would have been used for on the water.

Take in dramatic views from the Cliff Walk
- Savor Newport’s natural and historical beauty by wandering the Cliff Walk along the eastern shore. (The walk offers better views of some of the estates than can be seen from the road.) The full 3.5-mile walk starts at the western end of Easton’s or First Beach at Memorial Boulevard, and ends at Bellevue Avenue at the east end of Bailey’s Beach.
