Connecting Mauna Lani’s swimmable beach to the Great Lawn, Surf Shack is inspired by Hawaii’s iconic surf dens. Grab snorkel gear or a stand up paddle board from Kainalu Ocean Sports, talk story with friends old and new or fuel up for the next adventure with ceviche and fresh summer rolls.

Adventures begin and end at Surf Shack, a retro-inspired gathering place open daily for gear rentals, lunch and dinner. After catching your first wave with our Kainalu Pros, refuel with a fresh ʻahi poke bowl, street-style tacos and island-inspired bites on the deck. Return at sunset for an Ube Colada at happy hour, or gather around the picnic tables to share an oceanfront dinner with friends and family.
