Why you are receiving this notice
You are receiving this notice because you are applying for work with us (as an employee, worker or contractor). We collect and use personal data to manage and run our recruitment process fairly and lawfully.
What personal data we collect
During recruitment, we may collect and use the following types of information about you:
- Personal details – such as your name, contact details (e.g. address, phone number, email), date of birth, nationality and confirmation of right-to-work status.
- Recruitment information – including your CV, application form, qualifications, experience, interview notes, assessments, references and the outcome of your application.
- Health or disability information – where relevant, we will collect this information where you provide it in order to make reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
You may also choose to share additional information with us during recruitment.
How we collect your data
We mainly collect information directly from you, for example through application forms, interviews, assessments and communications with us.
We may also receive information from third parties, such as recruitment agencies, referees or publicly available sources (for example professional networking sites), where permitted by law.
Why we use your personal data
We use your personal data to:
- assess your suitability for the role you have applied for;
- compare candidates and make recruitment decisions;
- carry out necessary pre-employment checks, such as right-to-work verification;
- make job offers and prepare for onboarding if you are successful;
- allow you to provide feedback or respond to recruitment-related queries or complaints;
- consider you for future job opportunities where appropriate; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Our legal basis for using your data
We process your personal data because it is necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations;
- take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to enter into and perform a contract; and/or
- pursue our legitimate interests in running an effective, fair and secure recruitment process.
Where we process health or disability information for the purposes of facilitating reasonable adjustments, this data is processed for the purposes of carrying out the obligations and exercising the rights of you or the Company in the field of employment law, social security and social protection law.
How long we keep your data
We generally retain personal data for as long as is required to satisfy the purpose for which it was collected. This will usually be the period of the Recruitment Exercise plus the length of any applicable statutory limitation period thereafter. However, some personal data may be retained for varying time periods in order to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and for other legitimate business reasons.
Who we share your data with
Your personal data may be shared internally with teams involved in recruitment and hiring decisions.
We may also share data with trusted third-party service providers (such as HR systems, IT providers or professional advisers) who support our recruitment process. These parties are required to keep your data secure and confidential.
Some data may be transferred outside the UK, such as to our affiliates companies in the United States to provide support with Human Resources and management processes. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
You have a right to request You have a right to request a copy of any data transfer agreement under which your personal data is transferred, or to otherwise have access to the safeguards used.

- right of access to personal data;
- right of rectification in relation to personal data;

- right of portability of personal data to another controller in a a structured, commonly used and machine readable format; and
